We strive to be an exceptionally
family-friendly congregation, offering parents and children support,
encouragement, fellowship and opportunities for growth in faith. One of
our important goals is to make Sunday morning a stress-free time for
the whole family.

We currently
have several families with children from pre-school to high school as
active participants. During our Sunday worship time, and for important
gatherings, we have a staffed nursery for pre-school children and an
activities table for children in elementary school. The activities
table area adjoins the worship area, so children stay within sight of
their parents and can easily join the worshiping group for prayers and
communion. Other local Epsicopal churches offer our youth opportunities
to join in mission trips and other activities which we are not yet
large enough to sponsor on our own.

As a small,
growing congregation, we have the ability to individualize our services
for children and youth, striving to suit the needs and desires of each
family. We encourage our children and youth to take active roles, as
appropriate to their ages and abilities, in all aspects of our
congregational life, including Sunday morning worship preparations, as
prayer leaders and readers during services, staffing the nursery and
with meaningful participation in congregational decision-making.

We do not offer a formal Sunday School at this time, but our Senior
Warden -- an experienced educator, child development specialist and
Sunday School teacher -- is available to work with families on an
individual or group basis to design and assist with educational
strategies to suit the family. In addition to a personal library of
Sunday School resources for preschool through adult learners, our
Senior Warden also monitors and can recommend websites with
theologically sound and developmentally appropriate materials.
